She began dancing Mexican folklórico at the age of five. At 18, she assumed the role of Artistic Director of a SIMA extension in the city of DeSoto, Texas, beginning her journey as an instructor and promoter of folklórico dance.

Throughout the years, she has continued to strengthen her training by participating in numerous Mexican folkloric dance workshops with the Asociación Nacional de Grupos Folklóricos (ANGF), Folklorico Leadership for Youth (FLY), and with various guest instructors brought directly from Mexico, including training with the Ballet Folklórico de México de Amalia Hernández.

She is deeply proud that SIMA Ballet Folklórico is a family project dedicated to preserving and sharing Mexican culture abroad. As an instructor, her greatest wish is to inspire in her students the same love for folklórico and a deep pride in their Mexican roots.
